Subjects Taught
Art, Art II

I am a 2008 graduate of Geneva High School, GO PANTHERS! I graduated from Troy University in 2013 with a degree in Secondary English Language Arts Education. While at Troy's main campus, I was a member of the Pied Pipers - a theatre group who travels to local schools and puts on children's plays. After bringing my education a little closer to home (the Dothan campus),  I continued my studies in the arts, acting, oral interpretation, public speaking, debate, and journalism in addition to my chosen majors of English and education.

Upon completion of my degree program, I worked as a certified substitute teacher for surrounding school districts on a long-term basis. Furthermore, I taught 6th grade English grammar and writing as well as 7th and 8th grade broadcast journalism for 4 years at GMS, and I am so excited to begin teaching visual arts at GMS and GHS!

My husband, Hunter, and I have been married since 2006 and have 3 children: Walker, Christian, and Ascher. All three of my children attend Geneva City Schools. Outside of education, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, cooking, traveling, crocheting, crafting, and "DIY-ing" among other creative outlets. I am so excited to be teaching at my alma mater!

"I promise you every day your child will learn something. Some days they will bring it home in their hands. Some days they will bring it home in their heads, and some days they will bring it home in their hearts." -Valerie Welk

Thank you for your support in your child's learning!
